Constituent Views of Organizational Effectiveness: Evidence from Police Organizations.

Abstract

The effectiveness of police organizations is measured by 10 criteria. Numerous complex relationships are found among the criteria, many of which are organizationally and theoretically relevant. Some of these relationships show an important degree of compatibility between organizational and community measures of effectiveness. Others indicate areas of potential conflict.
