Abstract
This paper is a review of some of the more important contributions of Russians in the field of Pleistocene geology and paleontology. Of interest to the anthropologist are the presence of extensive faunal lists and the assignment of the Aurignacian, Solutrean, and Magdalenian to the second half of the Riss, Riss-Wurm, and Wurm time. Obviously this drastic revision of the usual archaeological chronology will have to wait for its acceptance upon more extensive translation of the work concerned. Nevertheless this review should be consulted by all students of the paleolithic. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
