Abstract
By combining results of hook and emission measurements, closed loops for six transitions of Cu I in the visible and ultraviolet regions could be obtained. A numerical procedure suggested by Cardon et al. (1979) was applied to give improved relative gf values for these transitions. Nine further gf values could be linked to these without making any assumptions on the state of the plasma and yielding a set of 15 relative gf values altogether. Hook measurements were performed using a wall-stabilised arc, intensity measurements by means of a hollow cathode discharge. Keywords
