Abstract
Some misconceptions about pulse compression, current in the literature, are described and corrected. The discussion centers on the possible use of pulse compression by bats, but includes some calculations on dispersion in the Peterson-Bogert model of the human cochlea. Recent findings on the resistance of bats to jamming are noted. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
