Abstract
The possible role of a variety of alimentary, autogenous and bacterial antigens is discussed as regards Sjogren''s disease, aphthous ulceration of the mouth, disease of the gastric mucosa, coeliac disease and idiopathic steatorrhea, ulcerative colitis and Crohn''s disease, and gastrointestinal lesions in the collagen diseases. Attempts to mimic human diseases in experimental animals by immunologic procedures are briefly noted. Keywords
