Abstract
Gordon, Herschel W., McMahon, N. J., Agliozzo, Carl M., Rao, P. R., and Rogers, James C.: Adenoid cystic (cylindromatous) carcinoma of the uterine cervix: Report of two cases. Am. J. Clin. Pathol. 58: 51–57, 1972. Despite the frequency of uterine cervical carcinoma, we have found only six instances of adenoid cystic (cylindromatous) carcinoma of the cervix in the literature. Two additional cases are presented, with ultrastructural details of one. The histologic appearance conformed to those previously described in the cervix and other sites. Embryologic data and histogenic concepts incompletely explain the cervical origin of this neoplasm. Keywords
