Abstract
Sampling inspection by variables for percent nonconforming, such as with the use of MIL-STD-414, also provides the data for estimating the population percent nonconforming. A method is provided for obtaining a confidence interval for the population value by means of an operating characteristic curve. This operating characteristic curve arises from the data, and is not that of the original sampling plan. Keywords
