Abstract
Free radical-mediated damage has been implicated in cellular changes that occur over time in the aging process and in development of degenerative diseases. Research results to date have demonstrated that vitamin E and the other antioxidants function to prevent or minimize peroxidative damage in biological systems and suggest that adequate antioxidant defense can protect the body from the high free radical concentrations that are unavoidable at the present time.Keywords
