The vitamin C content of potatoes grown on reclaimed land

Abstract
The average figures found for the concentration of vitamin C and dehydronscorbic acid in nine varioties of potatoes grown on reclaimed land differed to soma extent from those previously obtained for potatoes grown on normal soil in 1943–44; the data available is insufficient to differentiate between differences in season, soil or same unknown factor as the eausativo agent. The application of different manurial treatments to one variety of potato did not produeo any striking effect on the concentration of vitamin C.
