Abstract
Precipitation of disperse dyes in hot baths is a frequent problem in dyeing. In the present paper, four different types of precipitation are identified and discussed: aggregation; crystal growth; change of modification; and crystallisation on cooling. A simple microautoclave for observing dye‐liquors microscopically up to 130d̀C is described. Keywords
