Abstract
A method of determining the three-dimensional arrangements of medium sand particles in a till matrix is described. For measuring the strike and dip of the A and B axes, a simple optical method, employing a stereo magnifier and a universal stage, is used. An important observation of the arrangements of planoconvex, blade- and disc-shaped particles has been made.
