Abstract
Evidence is presented in support of the earlier disposition of Ellisiella Sacc. as a synonym of Colletotrichum Cda. Corrected nomenclature and synonymy is given for the fungus so far known under the name Ellisiella caudata (Peck) Sacc. Ellisiellina biciliata Camara is reduced to synonymy with Dinemasporium gramineum Lév. Samukuta Subram. & Ramakr. and its type species S. berkeleyii Subram. & Ramakr. are treated as synonyms of Neottiospora Desm. and N. caricina (Desm.) Höhn. respectively. Sakireeta Subram. & Ramakr. is reduced to synonymy with Tiarosporella Höhn., which is enlarged to include three species: T. paluclosa (Sacc. & Fiori) Höhn., T. graminis (Piroz. & Shoem.) comb. nov., and T. madreeya (Subram. & Ramakr.) comb. nov. Emended generic descriptions are given for Neottiospora and Tiarosporella.
