Electrical Properties of Li-Ti-O Ceramics

Abstract
Li-Ti-O ceramics were prepared by hot-pressing and their electrical properties were examined. It was found that Ti3+ in raw materials played an important role in the formation of the spinel phase with superconductivity. Dense specimens with the spinel phase were prepared at about 900°C, which showed metallic conduction below 40 K. On the Ti-rich side, specimens of which superconducting transition temperature was 13.4 K, were prepared with good reproducibility.
