Abstract
An elementary procedure for obtaining the prolongations of arbitrary G structures is described and applied to the affine, projective, Lorentz, conformal, and Weyl structures. Also, the condition that a projective and conformal structure be compatible and thereby define a unique Weyl structure is discussed from the G‐structure viewpoint. Throughout, an invariant notation for jets is employed. Keywords
