Abstract
Using the modified Townsend method, the ionization and attachment coefficients α and η have been obtained in pure bromine at pressures of 1 to 10 torr and E/p values in the range 75-140 v cm−1 torr−1. Values of α - ° have been obtained for values of E/p up to 210 v cm−1. A pressure-dependent attachment coefficient was observed. Keywords
