Abstract
A microscopic study was made on tissue sections from 25 dairy cow udders. It revealed the presence of intra-alveolar bodies in 15 of the 25 udders. Differential staining procedures for amyloid, hyalin, fibrin, Ca and mucin indicated that they were composed of a hyalin-fibrin complex. The bodies were found lying free in the alveoli and ducts, generally singly, but sometimes as many as 3 per alveolus. When an udder contained these bodies, they were found in approximately equal numbers in each quarter. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
