Abstract
A method is described for ultrafiltration through cellulose dialysis tubing by the osmotic uptake of water and low molecular weight solutes into a commercial polyethylene glycol (Carbowax 6000, Carbide and Carbon Chemicals Co., 30 E. 42nd St., New York 17, N. Y.). The procedure is simpler and cheaper than other ultrafiltration methods for the recovery of proteins and other high molecular weight substances. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
