Abstract
The results of direct Monte Carlo simulations are presented for square random resistor lattice with conductance anisotropy. Near the percolation threshold the anisotropy follows the power law (p-pc)lambda , where lambda =0.9+or-0.1. An idea of backbone droplet structure appears to be necessary to account for the critical behaviour of the anisotropy. Keywords
