Abstract

Calculations of the

{}^{4}{He} (p, 2 p) {}^{3}H

reaction in the distorted-wave impulse approximation do not reproduce the experimental data. The recent agreement obtained using a less sophisticated reaction model would seem to arise from the use of total cross sections which are too large.
