Abstract
Molybdenum oxide supported on titania is an important material for catalytic processes in petroleum industry as well as in air pollution control. A structure analysis by means of X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XANES) is reported for sample prepared by spreading of MoO3 in physical mixtures with the support as well as by impregnation from aqueous solution. Analysis of the XANES region of the Mo K edge indicated that the surface molybdate has a structure similar to ammonium heptamolybdate. Keywords
