Abstract
The spectral dependence of the optical absorption of PbTe films is determined under quantum size effect conditions. This dependence is nonmonotonic due to the dependence of the density of states on the energy in size quantized films. The absorption band edge is shifted to higher energies when the film thickness is reducedKeywords
