Abstract
Skeletal muscle lipid content has been associated with insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. However, intramuscular triglycerides can also be a fuel source for healthy muscle during exercise. The balance between storage and use of muscle triglycerides is likely a key to the interaction between dysregulated fat and glucose metabolism by healthy and insulin resistant muscle. Keywords
