Abstract
Oscillations in intensity of NaD nightglow attributed to mesospheric gravity waves have bean studied. Fractional atmospheric density perturbations have been obtained by means of the linear gravity waves theory of Hines. Values of other parameters have also been deduced (kinetic energy density and temperature perturbations). The results have been compared with those obtained in similar form from OI 557.7 nm data. A test taking into account the different heights of both emissions has been made, and satisfactory results have bear found. Keywords
