Abstract
In cats, intravenous injection of small amounts of stingray venom produce bradycardia with an increase in the PR interval giving a 1st, 2d or 3d degree auriculo-ventricular block. Reversal of the small dose effects occurs within 30 seconds following injection. Cats receiving larger amounts of the venom show almost immediate ST, T wave change indicative of ischemia and in some animals true muscle injury. When fatal amounts are injected the pattern is abnormal and unpredictable. Keywords
