Emesis and diarrhea induced by enterotoxin of Clostridium perfringens type A in monkeys

Abstract
Preparations of enterotoxin of Clostridium perfringens type A, purified by gel filtration and administered into the stomach of cynomolgus monkeys, induced emesis and diarrhea. The gastrointestinal activities of the preparations were completely neutralized with enterotoxin-specific antiserum.
