Observation of highly neutron-rich ${}^{43}{Cl}$ and ${}^{59}{Mn}$

Abstract

We report the observation and mass measurement of

{}^{43}{Cl}

and

{}^{59}{Mn}

by the (

{}^{3}{He}

,

{}^{8}B

), five-nucleon pickup reaction. Mass excess values of -23.14 ± 0.06 for

{}^{43}{Cl}

and -55.49 ± 0.03 MeV for

{}^{59}{Mn}

have been measured.
