Abstract
The intestinal absorption of dextrose by normal [male] rats decreases as the animals become older until, finally, a wide plateau is reached. The intestinal absorption of hypophysectomized [male] rats is within the range of this plateau. The adm. (by stomach tube) of a larger amt. of food than a rat would voluntarily take increased the ability to remove dextrose from the gastro-intestinal tract in young normal and hypophysectomized [male] rats. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
