Abstract
The extraction of highly reactive extracts of L. biflexa, and their use in the HL (hemolytic reaction) procedure, is described. Standardization of the reagents in the HL procedure was accomplished initially by block titrations, followed by periodic linear titrations, which effect reproducible HL titrations of serum. HL antigens were stabilized with constant activity for long periods, which decreases the necessity for frequent titrations. Keywords
