Abstract
We evaluate the contribution to the nucleon-nucleon interaction due to correlated exchange by means of dispersion-theoretic methods based on a realistic meson-exchange model for the interaction between a and a meson. This process has a substantial effect; in the pionic channel it counterbalances the suppression of the one-pion-exchange potential due to a realistic, soft form factor.
