Abstract
Reproductive genetic testing technologies are expanding at an exponential rate. Nurses are increasingly being called upon to provide these services to women. This paper discusses the status of nursing education in genetics and identifies immediate needs for nurses in order to be adequately prepared to respond to these increased demands. The future role of nurses in providing genetic services is delineated. Keywords
