Abstract
A method for the estimation of the position and velocity of a target traveling on a straight line course at constant speed from a series of passive measurements is presented. This method is based on the Lainiotis algorithm [9]. Extensive simulation has shown that the method performs very well even under adverse circumstances of very noisy environment, large range, and small target velocity. Examples are given. Keywords
