Abstract
Protein A from Staphylococcus aureus interacts in a specific manner with most subclasses of human Ig[immunoglobulin]G. In the present study a method was described which utilizes Protein A labeled with 125I for the detection of antibody sensitization of platelets. The clinical applicability of the test for detection of in vivo or in vitro sensitization was demonstrated in 3 patients with platelet antibodies. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
