Abstract
Disturbances in estrogen inactivation occurring in liver disease can be detected by cytological methods, especially in the male, since estrogens produce metaplastic changes in the prostatic urethra and surrounding structures. These changes are reflected in the urinary sediment. A cytological investigation of the urinary sediments of 14 Bantu patients with liver disease and 25 Europeans was presented. Keywords
