Abstract
To the Editor. —Delayed suprachoroidal hemorrhage following filtration surgery has recently been reviewed in the Archives.1 Treatment methods include draining the suprachoroidal hemorrhage, re-forming the anterior chamber with the placement of an air bubble,1 and using a continuous infusion air pump.2 In recent years, fluorocarbon gases have been used in retinal surgery to provide a longer lasting substitute for vitreous than air.3 We used octafluorocyclobutane (C4F8) gas to re-form the anterior chamber of a patient with a recurrent choroidal hemorrhage after glaucoma filtering surgery.
