Abstract
Malate dehydrogenase isozymes were studied in cell-free extract (crude extract), cytoplasmic, and mitochondrial fractions of yeast and mycelial phases of Blastomyces dermatitidis. All 3 fractions were subjected to disc electrophoresis on polyacrylamide gels. Different molecular forms of malate dehydrogenase were clearly demonstrated in both cytoplasmic and mitochondrial fractions of the yeast phase. The isozyme patterns in the yeast and the mycelial phases were different in number of bands. Keywords
