Abstract
A combination system of trimethylsilyl chloride, anisole, and a catalytic amount of tin(II) chloride cleaved p-methoxybenzyl ethers selectively in the presence of benzyl ethers under mild conditions to afford parent alcohols in high yields.Keywords
