Abstract
A new slow electron diffraction apparatus of the display type was constructed. It enables 1) observations of diffraction patterns over a wide range of scattering angle from 0° to 130° 2) the continuous or intermittent change of glancing angle and azimuthal angle of the specimen to the incident beam during a pattern observation. It uses a glass fluorescentscreen, and two metal grids for the post-acceleration of diffracted electrons. The grids and screen are coaxial cylinders in shape. The patterns are observed from the backside of the screen. Keywords
