Abstract
This paper deals with the description of a primary melanoblastoma of the uterine cervix in a 64-year-old woman. Although several references to such lesions exist in the literature, this instance would seem to be the 3d well documented example. The patient had no gynecologic symptoms when the tumor, a blue mass on the anterior lip of the uterine cervix, was discovered. The neoplasm continued to grow and spread during irradiation treatment, and death occurred approximately 6 months after the initial diagnosis was made.
