Riebeckitic arfvedsonite and aenigmatite from the Ailsa Craig microgranite

Abstract
Synopsis: The well-known Ailsa Craig microgranite has been found to contain aenigmatite as well as a riebeckitic amphibole; both minerals are extremely iron-rich and contain virtually no magnesium. Major- and trace-element analyses of the microgranite and of the two dark minerals by wet chemical methods are compared with results from an inductively-coupled plasma spectrometer.
