Abstract
Phenylbutazone, indomethacin and ibuprofen inhibit lymphocyte stimulation induced in vitro by phytohaemagglutinin. The results indicate that phenylbutazone and possibly ibuprofen may inhibit lymphocyte stimulation in vivo and that part of their effect in rheumatoid arthritis could be due to inhibition of lymphocyte function.
