Abstract
EDITOR,--The revised guidelines on chemoprophylaxis against malaria perpetuate the notion that mefloquine is relatively innocuous when used for this purpose.1 This view has been challenged by some authorities,2 who argue that the side effects of mefloquine have been greatly underreported.
