Abstract
A systems description is given for a two−stage oscillator−amplifier iodine laser setup. Detailed technical data are reported and information is given on the pressure dependence of the oscillator pulse, the gas composition for the oscillator and amplifiers, the small−signal amplification, and the energy storage and energy extraction in the amplifier stages. These performance data demonstrate the suitability of this new laser system for high−energy short−pulse operation. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
