Abstract
Electromagnetic propagation, influenced by arbitrary tensor constitutive functions in an unbounded medium, is considered. The general expansion of the determinantal eigenvalue equation for the dispersion relations is obtained, exhibiting, for the first time, the functional dependence of the eigenvalue equation on the constitutive tensors.Keywords
