Processing of x-ray spectra using a peak shape calibrated Si(Li) detector

Abstract
Energy dependence of the lineshape obtained with a silicon-lithium detector has been established using monochromatized synchrotron radiation. This peak shape calibration is used to process X-ray spectra obtained with radionuclides decaying by electron capture ( 51 Cr , 54 Mn , 55 Fe , 57 Co , 59 Ni and 65 Zn ). X-ray intensity ratios Kβ/Kα are determined, taking account of secondary phenomena such as satellite lines and the radiative Auger effect.
