The Efficacy of Lymph Drainage in the Elimination of Orally Administered Digitoxin and Digoxin

Abstract
Tritium labelled digitoxin and digoxin were administered intragastrically to rats provided with thoracic lymph duct fistulas. Approximately 4% of the label was recovered in the lymph collected during 48 h. It was concluded that lymph duct drainage is ineffective in the elimination of orally administered digitoxin and digoxin.
