Magnetostriction in polycrystal Pr2(Co1−xFex)17 compounds and their easy directions of magnetization

Abstract
The temperature and field dependences of the magnetostriction, λ∥−λ⊥ of Pr2(Co1−xFex)17 compounds for x=0 to 1 were measured from 80 to 340 K. The magnetostriction shows a maximum for x=0.8 of λs∼307×10−6 and ∼1060×10−6 at room temperature and 80 K, respectively. From these measurements the phase diagram of the spin reorientation temperature Tm versus iron content x was obtained.This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
