Abstract

Descriptions, with illustrations, are given of the following new taxa: RHAPHANDRA brunnea (Chelodesmidae); THELEURA punctata (Peridontodesmidae); Strongylodesmusgranulatus (Rhachodesmidae); Cruzodesmusserratus (Xystodesmidae); Rhysodesmusangustus, R.byersi, R.constrictus, R.depressus, R.hamatilis, R.jugosus, R.murallensis, R.obliquus, R.punctatus, R.quadruplus, R.semiovatus, and R.simplex (Xystodesmidae); Pheniulusbicuspis (Paraiulidae); Centrelustu berosus (Atopetholidae); Rhinocricustorosus (Rhinocricidae); and Orthoporusextensus (Spirostreptidae). Supplemental descriptions are given of Rhysodesmus sandersi Causey, R. smithi Pocock, and R. vicinus (Saussure). New synonymy: Strongylodesmus Saussure (=Ceuthauxus Chamberlin), Rhysodesmus Cook (=Acentronus Chamberlin); Orthoporus ornatus (Girard) (=O. lenonus, =O. linares, =O. mimus, =O. torreonus, all of Chamberlin). Extensions of ranges of 10 previously known species are given.
