Abstract
This study corroborates and extends an earlier conclusion of Harcum (1964a) that the discriminability of elements within tachistoscopic patterns was determined by an organizational process of memory, rather than by visual sensitivity per se. Since the distribution of errors among elements of a tachistoscopic pattern was affected by configuration changes in the spacing of the stimulus-elements, authors concluded that the role of mnemonic organizing processes had been demonstrated. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
