Abstract
By means of cultures and cytological investigations P. stipitata was shown to have a dimorphic diplo-haploidic life-history, as follows: The diploid spore-forming thalli produce diploid spores (2n = 12(14)). The sexual plants comprise a diploid meiosporophyte and numerous haploid gametophytes (n = 6(7)). Sex determination is haplogenotypic. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
