Abstract
An experimental and theoretical acoustical-paramagnetic-resonance study has been made on ions ( and ) in corundum. The hyperfine structure of ions is resolved and supplementary lines are explained by both electronic and nuclear transitions (, ). Some combinations of coupling constants of have been measured: , . Results from -irradiated ruby show that for the ion.
